Doctor turned Minister Ravjot Singh performs CPR, saves Elderly man
Bathinda: In a heartwarming moment that has won widespread praise online, Punjab Cabinet Minister and skilled doctor, Dr. Ravjot Singh, used his medical skills to save an elderly man who collapsed during a public event in Bathinda.
A video capturing the incident went viral on social media, which showed Dr Singh giving CPR chest compressions to the elderly man until he regained consciousness. Then he carefully lifts the patient's legs to boost blood flow. Thanks to his timely intervention, the man survived and was later taken to a nearby hospital for a further checkup.
The incident happened during a "naksha mela", a site plan distribution drive organised by the Bathinda Municipal Corporation. The event, aimed at handing over property site plans to owners. Dr. Ravjot, who is also the minister of Aam Aadmi Party, attended the event along with MLA from Sham Chaurasi in Hoshiarpur, Mayor Padamjit Singh Mehta and other civic officials.
