Gynecologist Dr Tarakeswari conferred ANBAI award for contribution to medical education in AP, Telangana

Hyderabad: The Association of National Board Accredited Institutions (ANBAI), Telangana (TS) & Andhra Pradesh (AP) chapter honored Dr. Tarakeswari S. Lead Senior Consultant, Obstetric Medicine, and Medical Director, Fernandez Hospital (Hyderguda), recognizing her contribution to medical education in AP and Telangana.

The award ceremony was held as part of the Distinguished Teachers Day event and was presided over by the ANBAI (AP & TS) President Prof. Dr. B. Balaraju & General Secretary Dr. Suresh Surapaneni. The chief guest of the event, Dr. Abhijat Sheth, President, of NBE, presented the award to Dr. Tarakeswari.

Dr Tara is a stalwart in the field of Obstetric Medicine with over 30 years of experience. She is presently the Head of the Department of Obstetric Medicine at Fernandez Hospital, Hyderguda. She is an alumnus of Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada and obtained her MD from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal in 1993. She joined Fernandez Hospital in 1995 and set up the High-Risk Pregnancy, Pre-pregnancy, and Recurrent Pregnancy Losses Clinics in 2001 and the Obstetric Medicine Department in 2007, all of which she runs.

She carries a vast experience in complicated pregnancies. Dr. Tarakeswari conducts regular teaching sessions for postgraduates, guides their thesis and conducts clinical meetings. Her areas of interest are Medical Disorders Complicating Pregnancy and Pre-Conception-Counselling. She has been invited as the DNB Inspector and as faculty at various national and international conferences. She has several publications to her credit.
