JnK: SKIMS doctor bags national level prize for short case presentation

Srinagar: Post Graduate student of Psychiatry SKIMS-Medical College & Hospital Bemina Dr Hadiya Kar has bagged First Prize at National Level for short case presentation.

Public Relations Officer (PRO) SKIMS said on Wednesday afternoon the virtual mock practical examination was organized by Topiwala National Medical College & BYL Nair Ch Hospital & Department of Psychiatry in association with the Indian Psychiatric Society Sub-committees on Post Graduate Education and Faculty Training from June 24 to 26, 2021.

Head of Department (HOD) Psychiatry Dr Abdul Majid informed that Dr Hadiya Kar was youngest presenter all over India to compete in the event. The award will be big boast to the on going Postgraduate education for the department of Psychiatry, which has started post graduate course just few years ago, he added.

He thanked Director SKIMS & Principal Medical College, Prof A G Ahanger and Medical Superintendent Dr Shafa Deva for facilitating academic, clinical and research work.

Dr Majid added that it has been a team effort by faculty, Senior residents and clinical psychologists to keep on improving and updating their skills.
