MGM Medical Director Dr Ajit Shroff passes away at age of 77
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Veteran freedom fighter Govindbhai Shroff's son and Medical director of MGM Medical College & Hospital, Dr Ajit Shroff, passed away at the age of 77 years on Wednesday.
Born on September 15, 1946, Dr Shroff completed his MBBS degree in 1969 and then did MS (Anatomy) in 1978 from Government Medical College (GMC), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
As per a media report in Lokmat Times, Dr Ajit Shroff passed away due to cardiac arrest on Wednesday at 10 am.
After completing his education, he started working as an assistant professor at GMC. He later worked as a professor and retired as principal from the same college.
Thereafter, he worked as professor, and dean at MGM Medical College. Until his demise, he was working as a Medical Director at MGM.
His untimely death has caused a great loss to the MGM family, along with his wife Dr Usha Shroff, son Dr Gautam Shroff, daughter Dr Shivani Shroff, daughter-in-law Dr Roopal and grand-children.
His last rites were performed at the Kailas Nagar crematorium here this evening, said sources in MGM.
