MP: 18 Government Medical Colleges get new dean

Bhopal: A total of 18 doctors have been selected to serve as the newly appointed deans of 18 government medical colleges in the state by the Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Department.

An order issued by the department on Tuesday mentioned the names of the doctors with their designation as deans to each medical college across the state.

Dr Sanjay Dixit has been appointed as the dean of MGM Medical College, Indore, Dr Devendra Kumar Shakya has been made the dean of Shrimant Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Medical College and Hospital, Shivpuri, Dr Parvej Ahmed Siddiqui has been made the dean of Government Medical College, Seoni.

Dr Anita Mutha has been selected as the dean of Dr Laxmi Narayan Pandey Medical College, Ratlam, Dr Navneet Saxena has been appointed as the dean of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur, Dr Shashi Gandhi has been made the dean of Government Medical College, Mandsaur.

Dr Girish Bhageshwar Ramteke has been appointed as the dean of Birsa Munda Government Medical College Shahdol, Dr Rajdhar Dutt has been selected as the dean of Government Medical College, Singraulli, Dr Sanjay Dadu has been given the charge as dean of Nandkumar Singh Chouhan Government Medical College Khandwa, Dr Rajesh Gaur has been made the dean of Government Medical College, Sheopur. 

Dr Pramod Singh Thakur has been appointed as dean of Bundelkhand Medical College & Hospital, Sagar, Dr Kavita N Singh has been selected as the dean of Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, Dr Geeta Guin has been appointed as dean of Gajara Raja Medical College, Gwalior. 

Dr Manish Nigam has been made the dean of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government Medical College, Vidisha, Dr Sunil Agrawal has been made the dean of Shyam Shah Medical College, Rewa, Dr Akshay Kumar Nigam has been selected as dean of Chhindwara Institute of Medical Sciences, Chhindwara, Dr Arvind Ghanghoriya has been made the dean of Government Medical College, Neemuch and Dr Deepak Singh Maravi has been selected as dean of Medical College, Datia.  

"It is mandatory for the appointed doctor to take charge in the Directorate of Medical Education! Satpura Bhawan, Bhopal within 15 days from the date of issue of the order. If you do not take charge within the prescribed time period, the order will automatically be considered cancelled," the order reads.  

Further, the order also mentioned "In unavoidable circumstances, permission to extend it may be granted by the Directorate of Medical Education. The seniority of the appointed doctor will be as per the seniority determined by the department."
