MP: BHMS doctor arrested for illegal termination of minor rape survivor's pregnancy, clinic sealed
Bhopal: A BHMS doctor has been arrested for allegedly performing an abortion of a minor rape survivor illegally at a private clinic in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal.
The accused doctor was found to be running a clinic in the city. According to the police, the rape accused has already been arrested and an FIR was registered in the matter on December 13, 2022, at Ajak police station in the city.
The rape accused had befriended the minor by posing as a Shaan Pandit and had raped her several times. The accused had also made some videos of the victim, threatening to make them viral, he continued to have a relationship with her for 3 years. The minor had become pregnant, after which she was aborted.

As per a media report in The pioneer, when the victim girl went to the clinic to get an abortion, the doctor charged her Rs 50,000 for the surgery. While investigating the victim's case, the police became aware of the clinic. Gathering evidence of the doctor's illegal work, the police sealed the clinic and arrested the latter. The accused was produced in court on Friday.
