MP: Unani Doctor attempts suicide by taking drug overdose, alleges compounder of sexual assault
Bhopal: A 36-year-old Unani doctor has attempted suicide by taking a drug overdose, following the rejection of her marriage proposal by the compounder. The doctor alleges that she was sexually assaulted for three years.
She was admitted to the hospital in critical condition and currently recovering from the incident.
The doctor took the extreme step after she proposed for marriage to her partner who is a compounder at her clinic and was rejected after spending three years together. The refusal triggered her and she tried to take her life by drug overdose. Later she was taken to the hospital on Wednesday and was in critical condition.
She has a clinic in Congress Nagar and is a resident of Firdous Nagar. It was reported that she got involved in a relationship with the compounder after she hired him for her clinic. The compounder is a resident of Housing Board Nishatpura.

Regardless of having two children, the woman took the step not thinking about the consequences of her action. After regaining consciousness at the hospital, she lodged a complaint against the compounder for sexually assaulting her at the Tila Jamalpura police station and an FIR was registered under Section 375 in the Indian Penal code on Thursday night.
