Mumbai: The Mumbai Police on Tuesday arrested a sweeper identified as Prince Jaiswal aged 22 for allegedly disturbing a female doctor at a Municipal hospital by sending obscene photos and lewd messages on her personal phone.

According to the complainant's statement, Jaiswal got the 30-year-old doctor's personal number from a board that displayed her number as she is a member of a committee that deals with complaints of sexual harassment taking place at the hospital.

However, the accused after losing his job started calling and texting the 30-year old and other doctors on their personal mobile numbers. Previously, he was told not to call their personal numbers and instead to communicate with them via their official numbers.

The Indian express reports that Bandra police were contacted by the doctor on February 21 after she had received lewd photos and messages on her phone from the sweeper after he was terminated from his job.

An FIR was registered under Sections 354 of the IPC and 67-A of the IT Act for molestation and transmitting obscene content through electronic medium.

Earlier, the Medical Dialogues team had reported a case where a dentist of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital along with two others was placed under arrest for allegedly fabricating fake nude photos of a woman in Varkala.

The doctor allegedly had malevolent intentions towards her and wanted to create a situation so that the husband of the woman divorces her. Hence, he reportedly hatched a plan and asked one of his accomplices to make morphed nude photos of the women while the other arranged fake SIM cards to send the photos to her relatives as well as her husband. After finding her morphed photos, unaware of his intention, the woman even took the dentist to register an FIR against an unidentified offender for impersonating and for making morphed photos.
