Doctor Alerts Security as Alleged Stalker Turns Up at Nair Hospital
Mumbai: In a shocking incident at BYL Nair Hospital, a 32-year-old woman doctor apprehended a man who allegedly stalked and harassed her for several months after he reportedly turned up at the hospital again on Wednesday, police said.
As per the news reports, the accused had allegedly been persistently pressuring the doctor to marry him and attempting to contact her despite repeated refusals.

Despite this, the accused allegedly continued to make missed calls and send messages to the doctor. As the harassment persisted, she shared the messages with her family, police said.
The situation reportedly escalated in September 2025 after the accused learnt through the doctor’s social media profile that she had been posted at BYL Nair Charitable Hospital. According to the police, the accused began visiting the hospital frequently, asking doctors and staff about her whereabouts and leaving letters addressed to her. On Wednesday, when the doctor was informed that the accused was once again on the hospital premises searching for her, she immediately alerted the hospital’s security staff.
Security personnel intercepted the accused near the blood bank on the second floor of the hospital and handed him over to the Agripada police. A case was subsequently registered against the accused under Section 78 (stalking) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Police said the accused was later served a notice of appearance and allowed to leave. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
