According to the doctor, six police personnel assaulted him and his driver. He claimed that the policemen hit the driver, causing his nose to bleed, and left nail marks on his neck.
Following the alleged attack, the doctor filed a complaint against the police officers, and an investigation is currently underway.

As per the Bhaskar news report, the incident took place on Sunday night when the doctor and his driver were crossing the Digha checkpoint in Patna. Their car got stuck after a truck drove in from the wrong direction. When the driver requested the truck driver to move back, an argument began in the presence of SI Upendra Sah.
The doctor alleged that the police were allowing the truck to pass from the wrong side after taking money. During this, the doctor’s car got stuck. The driver asked the truck driver to reverse. The situation escalated when SI Sah allegedly grabbed the driver’s collar and started shouting.
Soon after, the quarrel turned violent, and the policemen allegedly began beating the driver. When the doctor stepped out to intervene, he was also assaulted. The doctor claimed that the police not only beat them but also took Rs 22,000 in cash and the driver’s mobile phone.
Following this, they reached Digha police station to file a complaint, but the doctor alleged that they were made to sit for two hours. Later, the police returned the mobile phone but did not return the money as they denied taking it.
Both parties filed complaints against each other. The police are currently questioning people who were present at the spot and reviewing CCTV footage.
SDPO-2 Mohibulla Ansari said, "Applications have been received from both parties. The matter is under investigation. Strict action will be taken if anyone is found guilty."
