Patient assault case: Two junior resident doctors of UP Hospital suspended
Etawah: Following the shocking viral video of two junior resident doctors allegedly slapping and verbally abusing a patient admitted to a ward at UP Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Saifai, the doctors have been suspended in connection with the case.
Taking note of the video clips, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, who also holds the health portfolio, ordered a probe into the case earlier. He asked the vice-chancellor of the institute to conduct an inquiry so that action may be taken against the guilty.
Following the preliminary investigation by the university administration, two junior resident doctors were found guilty and subsequently suspended.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about the incident where the doctor reportedly argued with the patient and then suddenly slapped him. Following this, the hospital staff asked the doctor to contact their seniors regarding the case and not assault the patient in the ward.
