Patient dies after gynecomastia surgery at Mangaluru Hair Transplant Clinic, Family alleges medical negligence
29-Year-Old Doctor Dies Under Mysterious Circumstances
Mangaluru: A doctor at a Flaunt Cosmetic Surgery and Hair Transplant Clinic in Mangaluru has been accused of negligence by the family of a patient who died due to complications following gynecomastia surgery. In response, the district health department has taken suo motu cognizance and temporarily shut down the clinic.
Blaming the doctor and the clinic for negligence, the family members claimed that the errors during the surgery caused their patient's death. They also raised concerns about the clinic’s inadequate facilities.
As per Vartha Bharati news report, the incident took place after the 32-year-old patient visited the clinic on Saturday morning to have a small cyst removed from his chest, a procedure that was anticipated to last only 30 minutes. However, their family members alleged that the surgery took hours to complete. They claimed that neither the doctor nor the clinic staff informed them about the extended time of the surgery.
