PG medico found playing video game during duty hours, suspended

On January 24, the medical student was on night duty at Casualty Block of the Wenlock Hospital. As per various media accounts, a video clip of the PG medico posted at the casualty block of District Wenlock Hospital allegedly playing a video game went viral on social media.

As per a recent media report in Deccan Herald, a patient from Bantwal taluk was admitted to the casualty block of the hospital who had suffered injuries on his head after he fell down following high BP on January 23.

However, the medico was allegedly caught on camera playing a video game instead of treating the patient. The video went viral. Soon, an enquiry was conducted into the incident to which the medico was found playing video game.

Dr Sadashiv, District Surgeon told The Indian Express the college management has placed the student under suspension. The student has also been warned.
