Rajkot doctor hangs self at residence, leaves suicide note

The incident took place at night when the doctor was staying at her parent's apartment. She decided to commit suicide when her parents went outside for some work, leaving the doctor alone. Taking this opportunity, the doctor went inside her room, locked the door and hanged herself from the ceiling, TOI reports.

The incident came to light when her mother called her several times, but the phone went unanswered and then she requested the neighbours to check. The neighbours found her hanging from the ceiling fan upon opening the door. Later, police were informed and an investigation took place upon their arrival. 

While investigating the case, the police found a suicide note which revealed that she allegedly committed suicide because she was fed up with her life and asked everyone to remain happy. Although she did not blame anyone in her suicide note, the police found the situation odd and launched a probe into the case. 

Her body was sent for post-mortem at the Rajkot Civil Hospital. However, chaos erupted at the hospital when the staff handed over another woman's body to the doctor's family. Soon after the matter was resolved, the parents received their daughter's body.
