Telangana: RIMS Adilabad to recruit 16 super specialty doctors

Adilabad: To ensure the provision of quality medical services, the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Adilabad has decided to recruit 16 super-specialty doctors at the institute and the super-speciality hospital. 

The institute director Dr Jaisingh Rathod made the announcement where he said the state government would appoint 16 doctors in order to boost the medical services at the institute.  

He said that the hospital has won the trust of the people in the region, according to a media report in Telangana Today

With the coming of the medical institute and super specialty hospital in Adilabad, people have reportedly stopped going to neighbouring cities for better healthcare services, he said. 

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Adilabad or RIMS Adilabad is a medical institute affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences. It was established in the Adilabad region of Telangana in 2008. A number of speciality services including General Medicine, General Surgery, OBGY, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Skin & STD, TB & CD, Anesthesia, Lab services in Pathology, Microbiology & Biochemistry, Radiology, Psychology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Casualty, etc are provided at the RIMS hospital. 

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about the recruitment of 29 super specialty doctors to Nizamabad Government Medical College, as per an announcement made by Health Minister T Harish Rao. The move was aimed at catering to the rising number of patients visiting the district government medical college hospital on a daily basis. The super specialty doctors would be recruited to various departments, the minister had said. He had also announced the government's plan to recruit specialised doctors at Mahabubnagar Government Medical College and Hospital as well. 

The minister pointed out that patients would no longer have to go to big cities for treatment as they are making medical college and super specialty hospital services available in every district.
