Unauthorized absence: 11 Chhattisgarh medical officers terminated, 2 more under scanner
Raipur: In response to major laxity in duty observed by the state health department, the services of around 11 medical officers who showed negligence in work have been terminated by remaining absent for more than three years in Chhattisgarh.
It came to light that the doctors were neglecting their duties and remained absent for over three years. Moreover, no prior intimation was provided to the department head. These 11 medical officers continued to be on leave without sanctioning their leave days.
A proposal was made by the Director of Health Services to institute a departmental inquiry against a total of 24 medical officers who were unauthorizedly absent. On which the absence period of five medical officers who were unauthorizedly absent was declared as a non-working day, reports the Free Press Journal.
