Unfortunately, he died on the spot at the hospital, reports The Indian Express .

Expressing their deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the Resident Doctors’ Association of RML Hospital said “In these difficult times we stand by his family”

Demanding appropriate compensation for the doctor’s family, the Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association tweeted saying “Tragedy at RML hospital as a resident doctor passes away on duty. Our hearts go out to the family. Let's ensure that fair compensation is provided, as it should be a given when a hero in a white coat makes the ultimate sacrifice while on duty.”

On the other hand, doctors who were familiar with the deceased expressed their condolences to the family. Following this, one user said, “He was my senior at GMC Amritsar. He was a great human being.”
