Lucknow: Taking action against absent government doctors, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has ordered a probe against two government doctors for remaining absent from duty without informing the authorities.
According to an IANS report, among the two doctors, one is a surgeon posted with the Lok Bandhu Hospital (LBH) who had taken a sabbatical three years ago to complete his Master of Chirugiae (MCh) in urology.
After finishing the course, the surgeon notified the health department of his desire to resume his duties and was subsequently allocated to LBH. However, he neglected to fulfill his obligations by neither reporting for duty nor providing any details regarding his resignation or the delay in his return.
