Delhi - Responding to rumours that the entire PC&PNDT (Pre Conception and Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection)) Act 1994 has been suspended in the country by the Health Ministry has issued a clarification that only certain provisions, concerning regsitration and renewal as well as mandatory submission of reports have been relaxed for the time being.
The move came after section of the media began speculating that the PC&PNDT (Pre Conception and Pre Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection)) Act 1994 has been suspended by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
