It is engaged mainly in the transmission of bulk power across different states of India. Power Grid transmits about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network.

The Superintendent of the OGH, Dr B. Nagendar, expressed his sincere gratitude to PGCIL for making such a generous donation under corporate social responsibility. He also appealed to other corporate companies to make such donations in order to benefit poor and needy patients.

While thanking the corporation for the donation, he informed Telangana Today, “Such donations give an opportunity to serve poor patients who cannot afford such high end treatment and diagnostic procedures. By placing such high end equipment in government hospitals like OGH, not only complex and costly procedures can be done free of cost to the patients but also the PG students can be benefited due to hands-on training and also gain experience in carrying out such high end procedures.”
