Bomb-Like Object Found Outside Pune Hospital, Area Evacuated
Pune: Panic gripped Pune's Hadapsar area on Wednesday night after a suspicious bomb-like object fitted with a timer and a circuit was found outside a hospital at Kamdhenu Estate, prompting a swift police response and evacuation measures.
According to the news reports, the white-coloured object was found placed inside a cardboard box around 8.15 pm. A passerby noticed the suspicious package and immediately alerted the police control room.

After reaching the location, BDDS personnel carefully secured the suspicious package and later transported it to the open grounds of the Hadapsar Gliding Centre for safe disposal and further investigation.
Additional commissioner of police Manoj Patil and deputy commissioner of police (crime) Vivek Masal went to the spot to monitor the situation. "The BDDS team will study the object and its contents," said Masal, reports TOI.
According to India Today, police have also launched a probe to identify who placed the object in the parking area and what the possible motive behind it could be. Security around the locality was tightened as authorities carried out precautionary checks in and around the area.
The incident comes amid heightened concern over threats targeting hospitals. Earlier, a bomb threat demanding Rs 40 crore triggered panic at Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur.
Medial Dialogues had recently reported that Chaos ensued at Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital on Wednesday morning following a bomb threat demanding Rs 40 crore; the caller warned that if the money was not paid, he would blow up the hospital premises.
