India Chamber of Business and Commerce, ICMR join hands to build future of Healthcare
New Delhi: India Chamber of Business and Commerce referred as India Chamber and Indian Council of Medical Research referred as ICMR have signed an MOA at the Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in the presence of the Minister of MSME Shri Narayan Rane to promote India as global Hub in healthcare manufacturing and delivery and for creating a global stakeholders platform for the building robust healthcare ecosystem promoting future of health capabilities in India and promoting Investment creation in the field of Healthcare.
Witnessing the MOA signing ceremony, Shri Narayan Rane said the Ministry of MSME is focusing on building robust manufacturing capabilities in Healthcare sector to make India new hub for Medical devices and AtamNirbhar in Healthcare sector. He congratulated both esteemed organisations for partnering in the profound cause for building a global platform for making India Hub in Health and healthcare sector and assured all the support from the Ministry of MSME.

Dr Rajiv Bahl, Secretary DHR and DG ICMR, while signing the MOA said that the imminent need of the nation is to make health care affordable and assessable to all and it requires a structural interventions for Make-in-India initiate of GOI to be successful, for production of medical equipments and devices in India and making India self reliant in Healthcare capabilities.
This partnership will also help in promoting International collaborations in innovation and technology, building healthcare delivery standards, academia and industry partnerships, capacity building and promoting new innovations in the field of health .
Shri Nitin Pangotra, President and CEO, India Chamber while Signing the MOA said that the profound aim of the MOA is to build India as global Hub for health and healthcare and Building future of healthcare capabilities in India. Future of healthcare is based on digital and smart healthcare delivery, tech enabled and innovation based high-quality manufacturing and diversification into critical health care equipments and medical devices, diagnostics, drug parks etc. and application of new innovation and technologies into healthcare system.
He also mentioned that the spirit of the this Collaboration is to promote business ecosystem for building global Platform for promoting investment opportunities, global collaborations, innovation and entrepreneurship in Indian health care manufacturing and services sector to make India AtamNirbhar in Health sector.
Dr Ravinder Singh, Senior Scientist ICMR and Co-Chair India Health Dialogue mentioned that the partnership will help in filling the knowledge gap of the sector and help in building critical manufacturing ecosystem to promote AtamNirbhar Bharat in Healthcare by developing world class Medical Parks and Infra for the future.
The MOA is in the line with creating Institutional arrangement for India Health Dialogue- A national flagship initiative driven by India Chamber of Business and Commerce in partnership with ICMR, IMA and Ministry of MSME to build profound business ecosystem for transforming Health and Healthcare for the future and building India led global supply chain networks.
