Attention DNB, DrNB Trainees, Accredited Hospitals: NBE specifies Penal Provisions for Late Thesis Protocol and Thesis submissions, details

Delhi: The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has issued details related to penal provisions for late thesis protocol and thesis submission for DNB, and DrDNB Trainees as well as accredited hospitals and institutions.

As per NBEMS norms, Thesis submission is essential for all DNB/ DrNB trainees according to Thesis Protocol and Thesis Submission guidelines.

For online submission of the thesis protocol after being assessed and evaluated by the Institutional Ethics Committee and subsequently approved for carrying out the research work, the following timelines have to be followed –

The following penal provisions shall be levied on trainees who fail to comply with the aforementioned timelines –

Failure to submit the Thesis Protocol online by stipulated timelines –

1. Not Eligible to appear in DNB/DrNB Final Theory Examination in which trainee would be appearing for the first time.

2. Cannot Submit thesis without Thesis Protocol submission Acknowledgement number

The following timelines are to be followed for the submission of the thesis -

The following penal provisions shall be levied on trainees who fail to comply with the aforementioned timelines –

Qualify for Theory Examination and appear in practical but thesis not yet accepted

Not eligible to appear in next practical examination till such time thesis is accepted.

The above-mentioned penal provisions for failure to submit the thesis and Thesis protocols shall be applicable from the 2023 admission session onwards.
