Breaking: NBE announces NEET PG 2021 dates, specifies who is eligible

New Delhi: Putting end to major suspense regarding the dates of NEET PG 2021 examination, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the dates of the exam.

As per NBE's announcement, NEET PG 2021 exam is going to be held on 18th April 2021

"With reference to the communication from the National Medical Commission (NMC) dated 7th January 2021 and in continuation of NBE notices dated 16th September 2020 and 31st October 2020, all applicants for NEET-PG 2021 are hereby informed that the NEET-PG 2021 shall be conducted on 18th April 2021 on a computer-based platform at various centres across the country."

Regarding the eligibility of the exam, the body has clarified 

All students completing their internship on or before 30th June 2021 may 'ONLY' apply for NEET-PG 2021 on fulfilment of eligibility criteria as may be prescribed in the Information Bulletin.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the exam conducting body, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has announced the postponement of NEET PG 2021 in the light of the coronavirus pandemic, which had delayed the entire PG medical admission process.

Further Issuing an advisory on reopening of medical colleges across the country and completion of training of medicos which had got delayed due to the pandemic, the NMC recommended that NEET PG 2021 would have to be scheduled around March, April in 2021

Following directions from the Ministry as well as the NMC, the NBE has now announced the dates of the exam adding that it reserves its right to amend/defer the date of examination due to any unforeseen exigency, in consultation with the NMC and MoHFW, Govt of India.
