FMGE Dec 2020: NBE releases provisionally eligible candidates list, warns of candidature cancellation over deficient documents

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has informed about the provisional allowance given to the candidates who have not yet submitted the required documents in order to appear for FMGE December 2020. Besides, the Natboard further informed that the Admit Cards for FMGE December 2020 session is available.

The authority has also released the list of provisionally eligible candidates for FMGE December 2020 mentioning their deficient documents yet to be submitted. Documents to be uploaded at Online Deficient Document Submission Portal of NBE latest by 10th December 2020. Any failure in uploading the deficient document will result in the cancellation of the candidature of the examinees.

While releasing the list, the NBE stated that Candidates who have failed to submit one or more of the documents as prescribed in Clause 8.15 of the Information Bulletin for FMGE December 2020 session, have been allowed to appear in the FMGE scheduled on 4th December 2020 on a purely provisional basis.

The deficient documents are to be uploaded only through the Online Deficient Document Submission Portal for FMGE. The weblink to access the portal is as under:

In terms of Clause 2.8.2. of the Information Bulletin for FMGE December 2020 session, the deficient documents are required to be uploaded latest by 10th December 2020. Candidates who fail to upload the deficient documents within the prescribed period shall be declared ineligible and their candidature for FMGE December 2020 session shall stand cancelled.

Candidates who fail to fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed in the Information Bulletin for FMGE December 2020 session shall be declared ineligible and their candidature for FMGE December 2020 session shall stand cancelled.

The FMGE-Screening Test has been introduced through Screening Test Regulations 2002.

As per the regulations, "An Indian citizen/Overseas citizen of India possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India who is desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India or any State Medical Council on or after 15.03.2002 shall have to qualify a screening test conducted by the prescribed authority for that purpose as per the provisions of section 13 of the Act.

National Board of Examinations (NBE) has been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct the Screening Test as per Screening Test Regulations 2002. Role of NBE is limited to conduct of the test, publishing the result and handing over the result to the Medical Council of India & all State Medical Councils.
