Post MBBS Diploma courses accreditation: NBE invites applications from hospitals
New Delhi: Through a recent notification, the National Board of Examination (NBE) has invited applications from the hospitals seeking accreditation for Post MBBS two-year Diploma courses (2021-22 Cycle for Admission session 2022).
The Natboard has released the Information Bulletin and Application Form for Post MBBS Diploma courses. According to the notification released on its website, the National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has launched Post MBBS two-year Diploma courses in the following Broad specialities:
1. Anesthesiology
2. Obstetrics & Gynaecology
3. Paediatrics
4. Family Medicine
5. Ophthalmology
6. Otorhinolaryngology (ENT)
7. Radio Diagnosis
8. Tuberculosis & Chest Disease
The above Diploma qualifications are recognized medical qualifications as per The Gazette of India notification dated 06-08-2020.
All the interested hospitals seeking accreditation for the abovementioned Post MBBS two-year Diploma courses can apply with the NBE by referring to the Information Bulletin for the details regarding filling up of the application form, accreditation fee and minimum accreditation criteria.
Please read the Information Bulletin carefully before applying for accreditation. Information Bulletin can also be accessed at NBEMS website www.natboard.edu.in under the link "Accreditation Online".
The application forms have to be submitted only in online mode through Online Accreditation Application Portal (OAAP) which can be accessed through NBEMS website www.natboard.edu.in
IMPORTANT DATES
Start Date for online submission of the application form: 09-07-2021
Last Date for online submission of the application form: 30-09-2021
Last Date for receipt of the Hard Copy of the application form at NBEMS Office: 31-10-2021
The hospitals running three years DNB courses, in any of the eight specialties for which Diploma course have been started, can also apply for Diploma courses with the same infrastructure. However, the faculty which has been considered for the DNB course will not be considered for the Diploma course i.e. the applicant hospital shall be required to have separate faculty for the Diploma courses.
