Andhra Pradesh Invites Applications for 24 Pharmacist Vacancies Under NHM

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) has invited online applications for the recruitment of Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, and Multi Rehabilitation Worker posts under the National Health Mission (NHM) on a contract basis. Through Notification No. 10/2026, the board has announced a total of 529 vacancies across the three categories.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official APMSRB portal.

According to the notification, the recruitment drive comprises 419 vacancies for Staff Nurse, 24 vacancies for Pharmacist, and 86 vacancies for Multi Rehabilitation Worker posts. The appointments will be made on a contract basis under various healthcare programmes operating in Andhra Pradesh.

The online registration process commenced on June 13, 2026, and candidates can apply until June 30, 2026. APMSRB has specified that applications will be accepted only through online mode.

For the Pharmacist post, candidates must possess a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm), Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm), or Intermediate Vocational Course in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Applicants are also required to have valid registration with the Andhra Pradesh Pharmacy Council along with up-to-date renewal certificates.

The age of applicants will be calculated as on January 1, 2026. Candidates must be between 18 and 42 years of age. Age relaxation of five years has been provided for SC, ST, BC, and EWS candidates, while Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are eligible for a relaxation of ten years. Ex-servicemen will be entitled to relaxation as per government norms.

Selection of candidates will be based on merit and reservation rules prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The merit list will be prepared out of 100 marks, comprising 75 marks for qualifying examination performance, up to 10 marks based on the period elapsed since obtaining the qualification, and 15 marks towards eligible contract service weightage. Additional weightage provisions have been prescribed for candidates who have rendered COVID-19, tribal, rural, or urban healthcare services.

The monthly remuneration has been fixed at Rs 27,675 for Staff Nurses, Rs 23,393 for Pharmacists, and Rs 23,494 for Multi Rehabilitation Workers. The posts will be filled on a contractual basis under the National Health Mission.

Applicants are required to upload relevant educational certificates, registration certificates issued by the respective professional councils, age proof, study certificates, caste or EWS certificates where applicable, disability certificates, experience certificates, and other supporting documents during the online application process. The application fee has been fixed at Rs 1,200 for candidates belonging to the Open Category, while SC, ST, BC, EWS, and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities candidates are required to pay Rs 900.
