New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) exam application form for the academic year 2025 on its official website.

Only those candidates will be eligible to fill out the GPAT 2025 registration form who fulfil the eligibility criteria. Candidates can submit the online application form till April 21, 2025.

STEPS TO FILL OUT THE GPAT 2025 APPLICATION FORM

STEP 1- Go to the NBE official website.

STEP 2- Click on the Examination tab, followed by the GPAT exam mentioned on the page.

STEP 3- After that, click on the GPAT Application Link on the page.

STEP 4- Do the registration first by filling out the basic details in the GPAT online form 2025.

STEP 5- After doing the registration, pay the GPAT 2025 fees, upload the required documents.

STEP 6- After the registration is completed, candidates need to download their registration form and save it for future reference.

While doing GPAT registration, students are advised to pay the application fee as per their category and download the receipt of the GPAT 2025 application form after completing it. Only those candidates who will fill out the form correctly will be issued a GPAT Admit Card 2025 in online mode. Meanwhile, as per the previous year's trends, the GPAT Hall Ticket 2025 may be released around May 20, 2025.

NBE will conduct GPAT 2025 on a computer-based platform at various exam centres across the country on May 25, 2025. However, the GPAT Result 2025 is expected to be released by June 25, 2025.

EDIT WINDOW

Candidates who have successfully submitted their payment for the application during the application submission window shall only be allowed to edit their applications from 25th April to 28th April 2025. No new application can be registered, nor can payment be made during the edit window. However, the balance fee required, if any, in case of a change in candidate category and/or PwD status can be paid during the edit window. Any information/document can be changed/corrected during the edit window except for Name, Test City, Nationality, Mobile Number and Email ID. Information can be edited any number of times before the closure of the window. The last submitted information will be saved in the records.

FINAL EDIT WINDOW

Deficiency related to images uploaded (photograph, Signature, Thumb Impression) shall be intimated to the concerned candidates, and the same can be corrected during the pre-final edit window, i.e. 02nd May 2025 to 05th May 2025. A list of such applicants who would fail to rectify their images in the application form shall be published on the NBEMS website, and a final Edit window will be opened from 09th May 2025 to 11th May 2025 for them to enable them to rectify the images as per image upload guidelines. Applications of such candidates who would fail to rectify their images even during this final edit window shall be rejected. No further opportunity shall be given to make corrections. Candidates are advised to submit the images in their application as per the prescribed image upload guidelines. Failure to submit images as per the guidelines and/or failure to rectify the images shall invite rejection of the application.

EXAMINATION FEE

The Examination fee for the General, OBC and EWS is Rs. 3,500/- and for the SC, ST, and PWD is Rs. 2,500/-. The fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of the Application fee will not be entertained.

The prescribed exam fee should be remitted through the payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or other modes as may be made available and have been provided on the web page. Fees cannot be deposited through any mode other than the payment gateway available while submitting the online application form.

Examination fees in respect of candidates who are absent or have been declared ineligible due to any reason shall be forfeited. Candidates are advised to read the information bulletin for GPAT 2025 carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for the fulfilment of eligibility criteria before proceeding for payment of fees.

It is at the discretion of the applicant to make another payment to complete the application submission process. In the event of receipt of duplicate/multiple examination fees towards the same application ID, NBEMS shall refund the excess fees received for an application retaining the prescribed examination fee after the closure of the application window.

INSTRUCTIONS TO FILL OUT ONLINE GPAT 2025 APPLICATION FORM

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

The candidate must meet/fulfil the following criteria-

1 He / She is a citizen of India.

2 The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognized university.

3 Candidates appearing for the final year (4th Year) examination of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) whose result will be declared before the commencement of admission to the M Pharm course for the academic year 2025-26 are eligible to appear in GPAT 2025. Candidates appearing for the pre-final year (3rd Year) examination of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) whose results for Final Year (4th Year) will be declared before commencement of admission to M. Pharm course for the academic year 2026-27 are also eligible to appear in GPAT 2025.

4 B.E./ B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/ equivalent candidates are not eligible to appear in GPAT 2025.

5 Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of GPAT 2025 will not be permitted to appear in the examination and/or counseling. In the unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in the GPAT 2025, the results/ candidature of such a candidate shall be cancelled and/or are deemed to be cancelled.

6 Eligibility of candidates issued admit card for the examination shall be purely provisional. Appearance in GPAT 2025 does not confer any automatic rights upon the candidate for admission to M. Pharm courses and/or award of scholarship.

7 Candidates are advised not to canvass with NBEMS for eligibility in GPAT or issuance of admit card. Queries, if any, can be submitted through the Communication Web Portal only. Canvassing in any form shall invite rejection of the application.

SCHEME OF GPAT 2025

The exam comprises 125 multiple-choice questions, with each question having 4 response options/ distractors in the English language only. Candidates are required to select the correct/best/most appropriate response/answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question. The time allotted is 3 hrs (180 minutes).

The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computer network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed. An indicative Blueprint of the examination is as under-

MARKING SCHEME

There shall be a 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

The question paper for GPAT will be divided into multiple time-bound sections. For example, if there are 5 time-bound sections* (Section A, B, C, D & E) in the question paper, each Section will have 25 questions and 36 minutes allotted for the section. Candidates would be restricted to proceed to the next section only after completion of the allotted time for the previous section, and candidates would not be allowed to review the questions/modify the responses of a section after the completion of the allotted time for that section. Questions in the next section will start automatically after the completion of the allotted time for the previous section.

Candidates are given an option to mark any question, whether attempted or not, for review, which means that the candidate has been given an option to go through these questions in a section again before the allotted time to a section ends. Candidates may note that such questions which are marked for review shall be evaluated as per the marking scheme.

DEMO TEST

A demo test shall be available for the benefit of candidates to familiarize themselves with the Computer-Based Test format at the NEB official website. Candidates will be able to access the Demo test tentatively from 14th May 2025 onward.

TIE BREAKER CRITIERIA

In the event of two or more candidates obtaining the same score, the merit position shall be determined using the following tie breaker criteria in descending order-

A Candidate having a lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.

B Older candidates will be placed at better merit positions.

TEST CENTRE

The exact address and location of the test centres shall be indicated in the admit card. Candidates are advised to familiarise themselves with the test centre and reporting counter locations at least one day prior to the examination day and ensure that they report for the exam as per the scheduled time only. The Google map location shall be indicated in the admit card for quick reference only. It shall be the responsibility of the candidate to confirm the exact location of the test centre well in advance to avoid any arrival delay.

Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents-

1 Printed copy of Barcoded/QR Coded Admit card.

2 Any one of the below-mentioned Govt-issued photo IDs (must be original and valid/non-expired)-

i PAN Card.

ii Driving License.

iii Voter ID.

iv Passport.

v Aadhaar Card (With Photograph).

RESERVATIONS

1 Reservation of seats shall be as per the norms of the Government of India and respective State Governments as may be applicable.

2 In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below-

i 15% of the seats are for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.

ii 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.

iii 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List.

iv 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates.

3 Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability as defined in Section 2 (r) and (zc) of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016.

4 In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognized by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.

5 OBC - NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) as per Central list of OBC alone are eligible to claim OBC reservation in the counseling. All OBC applicants for GPAT are accordingly advised to indicate their category as OBC in the application form only if their caste belongs to the Central list of OBCs and they fall under the non-creamy layer.
