With an intention to attract more manpower, pay increased in the range of 5,000 to 35,000
Amidst the recent strike news coming from commercial capitals of north and west regions of India, the news deep down south seems to bring some cheers to the medical profession. Karnataka state government has recently announced a pay hike for its doctors; driven by a long term investment objective to hire more doctors. Taking into account the current pay scale for MBBS or BDS qualified doctors, post graduate degree or diploma qualification, and super speciality doctors, the increase is applicable with an immediate effect. The hike in pay is in the range of INR 5,000 to 35,000; which is a considerable pay to boost the recruitment sentiment in the government-run administration.
