Hyderabad: The various heads of government medical institutions in the state including Superintendents of hospitals as well as principals of medical colleges will now be held responsible for the Un-Authorized Absence of doctors working under them.

Asking the heads of the departments for details of doctors on continuous leaves, Dr K Ramesh Reddy, Director of Medical Education recently informed that Any Employee who has applied for (59) days leave and again applies for another spell of leave, such applications should be forwarded to Director of Medical Education, Telangana State, Hyderabad, and leave should not be sanctioned at Principal/Superintendent level.

"This is for strict compliance," the order issued by the DME stated

Besides this, an order issued to this effect by the DME further asked these heads to furnish the list of all cadres who are on Un-Authorized Absence since more than (1) month / Newly recruited Doctors who's services are Not Regularized and are on Un-Authorized Absence for more than (15) days. The DME also asked the institutions heads to furnish the list charges are framed/pending against such persons.

All the Superintendents/Principals of Hospitals/Medical Colleges in the State under the control of Director of Medical Education, Telangana State, is invited to the subject cited, and they are here by directed to send the list of persons of all cadres who are on Un-Authorized Absence for more than (1) Month /Newly recruited Doctors who's services are Not Regularized and are on Un-Authorized Absence for more than (15) days and also furnish the list of persons whom charges are framed/pending under their control to this office within (1) week by Speed Post and mail for taking further action as per CCA Rules.



The order further directed the heads to send all the leave applications which are applied frequently with a gap of 2 - 3 days of joining and not attending duties for months together.

"All the Superintendents/Principals of Hospitals/Medical Colleges in the State are requested to follow the above guidelines Strictly and if any deviation in this regard they will be held responsible," the notification further stated.
