Raipur MBBS student found dead in hostel room, narcotic drugs, injections recovered
Raipur: In a tragic incident, a 21-year-old third-year MBBS student at Balaji Medical College, Raipur, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on the third floor of the hostel.
According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, the student's body was found lying face down on the bed in his friend's room. The police, while examining the scene, reportedly found narcotic drugs and injections in the room.
The police also reportedly found information indicating the presence of fentanyl, a drug used in anaesthesia. However, it is not yet clear whether the student had consumed the drug.

Dainik Bhaskar reported that while the student lived on the fourth floor of the medical college hostel, his friend stayed on the third floor. Police are investigating why the student went to his friend's room and the circumstances surrounding his death.
The incident took place on Friday night when the student went to his friend's room. At around 9 p.m., his friend left the room to have dinner. When he returned a short while later, the student was found lying face down on the bed.
The friend, with the help of other students, then took him to Balaji Hospital, where doctors examined him and declared him dead.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the circumstances of the student's death. They are also examining whether he had consumed any drugs and are exploring all possible angles, including suicide.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that a second-year MBBS student studying at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College in Katraj died after allegedly jumping from the ninth floor of a multi-storied residential building in the Katraj area. The police found no suicide note at the scene; however, the student's brother claimed that exam stress could be the reason for her sister to take the extreme step.
