2 MBBS students injured after hostel clash at NC medical college, 6 former students booked
Panipat: A violent clash at the hostel of NC Medical College and Hospital has led to an FIR against six former students, who are accused of assaulting an MBBS student over an alleged old rivalry and seriously injuring another student while fleeing the campus.
The incident took place around 10:30 pm on Sunday when the medical student had stepped out of his hostel room to use the washroom and a group of men allegedly confronted him. He alleged that the group started abusing him because of an old dispute.
When he objected, they allegedly dragged him outside the hostel and assaulted him. He further claimed that the accused hit him several times on the head with a glass bottle, leaving him seriously injured. Other students rushed to the spot after hearing the commotion, following which the accused fled.

After this, the accused, while escaping in a car, allegedly hit another MBBS student. He sustained serious injuries in the collision. Both injured students were immediately taken to a hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
Based on the student's complaint, police have registered an FIR against six pass-out students under various sections related to assault and other offences. Police have launched a search to trace the accused.
Confirming the development, Israna Station House Officer (SHO) Hariram told Amarujala that a dispute had taken place among students at the NC Medical College & Hospital hostel, resulting in injuries to some students.
Meanwhile, students said similar clashes have occurred at the college in the past and alleged that the latest incident is linked to a dispute between the two groups that had taken place last year and was reportedly resolved through family members and a local panchayat.
Following the incident, students have demanded strict hostel security and urged the college administration to prevent outsiders and pass-out students from entering the hostel premises.
