Baramulla doctor makes Lunar history, acquires land on Moon

Baramulla: In an extraordinary feat, Dr Kousar Bakshi, a distinguished doctor hailing from Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir, has etched his name in history by becoming the first individual from the Valley and the second overall in the region to acquire a parcel of land on the lunar surface. The noteworthy achievement was officially confirmed by the Lunar Registry, signalling the successful bid of Dr Bakshi.

As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ARML Labs in Handwara, Dr Bakshi received formal communication from the Lunar Registry, validating his ownership of the lunar property. The documentation of this unprecedented purchase has been meticulously recorded and verified, with GNS obtaining a copy of the official document designating Dr Bakshi as the legitimate owner of the lunar land situated at Mare Tranquillitatis, reports

This groundbreaking development has captured the imagination of the public, sparking widespread interest and speculation about the significance and implications of Dr Bakshi's remarkable acquisition. The specific location of his newfound land is within Mare Tranquillitatis, precisely at 8.35 degrees north latitude and 30.85 degrees east longitude, falling under tract 34, parcel 21024. 
The historic moment unfolded when Dr Baksh submitted his bid for lunar land on July 6, 2023. The Lunar Registry communicated the triumphant success of his bid on September 12, 2023, marking a momentous occasion for the doctor and the entire region. 
Expressing his happiness, he stated, “I am quite happy to become the first from Valley to make it," Dr Bakshi (GNS). The complete ramifications of this momentous acquisition are still unknown. Dr Kousar secured his PhD in microbiology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He has been a national award winner and nominated for the prime-time Global Excellence Award. He has been working as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ARML Labs in Handwara for 9 years now.
