Mumbai: Through a recent notice, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maha CET Cell) has informed about the Physical Reporting For 1st round of State Counselling for admission to PG medical courses in the state.

The notice clearly states the following:

The Academic Session of Medical & Dental PG Courses ( Broad Specialty) for A.Y. 2020-21 will commence from 01st July 2020. The Candidates who have already joined virtually/online mode in Round 1 of State Counseling can report physically with all necessary Original Documents and submit the remaining requisite Fee ( If not paid fully previously) to the respective allotted college.

As per the letter issued by Director, DMER & Nodal Officer for COVID in State of Maharashtra, the Allotment Letter issued by State CET cell will be considered as e-Pass/ Curfew pass to facilitate candidates along with one parent/attendant during travel for the purpose of reporting to the allotted college.

The concern colleges should update the status of the candidates as "PHYSICALLY REPORTED" on the online portal of State CET Cell and should make note of following points.

 All Central Govt./ State Govt. Guidelines w.r.t COVID should be followed.

 There should be proper Crowd Management to maintain Social Distancing.

 Volunteers with THERMO GUN should be deployed at the entry gate.

 Staff and Students should compulsorily be wearing masks.

 Hand Sanitizer stands with Sanitizer bottles should be installed in the area dedicated for Admission purpose.

 Liquid Hand soap in washrooms should be made available.

Aarogya Setu App 'Status' of candidates may be checked if required.

Note:- All India Quota Vacant Seats will be surrendered to State Quota on 01/07/2020 as notified by mcc.nic.in. The Second round of State Quota will be declared in due course after 01/07/2020. The concern should visit the website www.mahacet.org regularly for updates.

Meanwhile, in the other notice, the counselling body has issued a clarification on the physical reporting process.

It is hereby clarified that-

"Joined/Not Joined/Retained Status of all allotted candidates in Round 1 of State Counseling for NEET MDS 2020 as on 8th May 2020, for NEET PG 2020 as on 1st June 2020, and all cancellations upto 30th June 2020 will be considered as FINAL status for allotment of Round 2 of State Counseling.

The physical reporting as per Notice No.13 will NOT be considered as FINAL status for allotment of Round 2 of State Counseling"

All concerned candidates and colleges must take Note of this clarification.
