Balangir: Depressed over her father's death due to Covid-19 and unable to cope up with the loss, an MBBS aspirant allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her study room in order to meet her father in 'after-life'.
The unfortunate incident took place earlier this week on November 11, when the 18-year-old aspirant, who was preparing for a medical entrance examination was found hanging in her study room in her house located in Tikrapada village of Odisha's Balangir district.
Unable to bear the loss of her father, the medical aspirant was extremely shattered after his death due to fatal coronavirus.
The deceased's father, who worked at Balangir's Ordnance Factory, tested positive for coronavirus over two months ago. He was shifted to a Bhubaneswar hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to the coronavirus on September 20.
As per a recent media report in Odisha Byte, the aspiring doctor, being the only daughter, was the most affected among the family. Having passed her Class XII board examination in early 2020, she aspired to be a doctor. She dreamt of fulfilling his father's dream, however, she was absolutely shattered by his sudden death.
