CENTAC will conduct common counselling for admission of candidates in Post Graduate Medical / Dental Courses in respect of seats allocated for Government Quota in Private Medical / Dental Colleges.
CENTAC will conduct common counseling for admission of candidates in Post Graduate Medical / Dental Courses in respect of seats allocated for Management Quota (including minority quota, if any) in Private Medical / Dental Colleges.
COUNSELLING PROCEDURE
Admission to PG Degree Course shall be made by counselling on the basis of Merit applying the rule of reservation wherever applicable. Counselling will be done through computer module based on the preferences entered by the Candidates.
In the case of physical counselling, candidates will be called for counselling according to their ranks in batches. Candidates can choose any one of the branches or colleges available at the time of counselling Option once given during the counselling cannot be changed later
Re-allotment from one college to another college is permitted during counselling only, based on merit and rule of reservation.
An individual request for transfer of college will not be permitted under any circumstances. Mutual transfers will not be permitted under any circumstances.
Candidates selected for admission should give a declaration in the form given at the time of counselling that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
The allotment/admission shall be liable for cancellation based on the declaration at any time during or after the admission to the course. Further, he/she will not be allowed to apply for Post Graduate Courses for two subsequent academic years.
Due to unforeseen reasons, if a candidate cannot attend the physical counselling (mop up) on the specified date and time, he/she can authorize a representative to attend the counselling on his/her behalf. The authorized representative should produce an undertaking and authority letter for allotment along with the requisite original documents. The allotment made to the authorized representative shall be binding on the candidate.
Strict discipline should be maintained by the candidate for the smooth conduct of counselling. If the candidates are found to indulge in any untoward activities, they will be debarred from the counselling and selection for the present and subsequent academic sessions.
The candidates appearing for allotment by personal appearance should bring the original documents that are to be enclosed with Proforma/Application in the original. In any case, candidates without original certificates/documents, shall not be allowed to participate in the counselling. Candidates who have deposited their original documents to Institutions/Universities should bring a certificate stating that "their original certificates are submitted to the Institution/University".
Unauthorised absence of candidates for one month and more after joining the course will be treated as 'discontinued' and the vacancy will be filled up by the CENTAC depending on the availability of time before the cutoff date.
The candidates who are selected at the time of counselling shall deposit the tuition fee in the CENTAC Account as fixed by the Fee Committee in respect of Government / Management / NRI Quota Seats.
The following details have to be taken note of by the students who attend counselling but not joining the course or cancelling the admission after joining the course after allotment of the seat by CENTAC
