Sikkim: Governor virtually inaugurates Molecular Lab of SMIMS for COVID, HIV testing

The Laboratory has been accredited to the National Accreditation Board of Testing and Calibration Laboratories, for molecular testing.

Gangtok:  Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad inaugurated the Molecular Laboratory of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences, here today.

Chief Minister PS Tamang and Health Minister Dr MK Sharma also attended the inaugural ceremony.

The Laboratory has been accredited to the National Accreditation Board of Testing & Calibration Laboratories, for molecular testing.

The Lab has been permitted to initiate COVID 19 testing. It will also conduct HIV testing and many more. The testing facility is regarded as a boon for the people of Sikkim, during the COVID-19 Pandemic in addition to Govt Hospital, here.
