RIMS Adilabad MBBS student found dead
Suicide
Karimnagar: In an unfortunate incident, a second-year MBBS student from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Adilabad allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling in his hostel room.
The incident occurred just days before the commencement of second-year MBBS classes on August 2.
Officials from the institute said that a committee comprising faculty members had been formed to ascertain the circumstances leading to the suicide.
The incident took place today when he was alone in his room. As he failed to attend the afternoon study session, his friends and fellow students noticed his absence and alerted the staff. After being unable to reach him, they went to his room, broke open the door and found him hanging from a ceiling fan. Immediately, they rushed him to RIMS hospital, where doctors declared him dead, as per Telangana Today
