Mirzapur DM directs uninterrupted supply of Medicines at AYUSH Hospitals

Mirzapur District Magistrate Pawan Kumar reviewed National AYUSH Mission projects and directed officials to ensure uninterrupted availability of essential medicines, regular doctor attendance, improved healthcare services, and timely completion of ongoing AYUSH hospital infrastructure projects across the district.
Mirzapur: District Magistrate Pawan Kumar has directed officials to ensure that AYUSH hospitals across the district maintain an uninterrupted supply of essential medicines and provide quality healthcare services without causing inconvenience to patients.
The directive was issued during a meeting of the District AYUSH Committee held at the District Panchayat auditorium, where the progress of schemes and infrastructure projects being implemented under the National AYUSH Mission was reviewed.
The meeting focused on evaluating ongoing works, identifying reasons for delays, and monitoring the availability of healthcare services in AYUSH institutions.
During the review, the District Magistrate assessed the status of the approved 50-bed AYUSH hospital, construction of new AYUSH hospital buildings, availability of medical facilities, performance of healthcare institutions, presence of AYUSH doctors, and the stock of essential medicines.

He directed the concerned departments to complete all under-construction projects within the prescribed timelines while maintaining quality standards. Officials were told to take immediate measures to resolve delays at any stage of implementation so that the projects can be completed without further setbacks, Live Hindustan reported.
The District Magistrate also emphasised the need to ensure the regular presence of doctors in AYUSH hospitals and healthcare units. He directed authorities to improve the quality and accessibility of AYUSH medical services in line with the government’s objective of providing better healthcare to patients.
Officials were further instructed to ensure effective implementation of AYUSH department schemes and programmes and to conduct regular monitoring of their progress.
The meeting was attended by Chief Development Officer Vishal Kumar, Regional Ayurvedic and Unani Officer Dr. Jayant Kumar, District Homoeopathic Medical Officer Dr. Kaushalya Marina, Arun Kumar, the District AYUSH Manager, and other officials associated with the AYUSH department and district administration.
The review meeting underscored the district administration’s focus on timely completion of AYUSH infrastructure projects, strengthening healthcare delivery, and improving medicine availability in government AYUSH hospitals.
