Rajasthan Ayurved University inks MoU with AIIA to boost research, innovation

Memorandum of Understanding
Jodhpur: In a significant step to integrate Ayurveda with modern technology and innovation, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University and the All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA)-Incubation Centre for Ayurveda Innovation and Entrepreneurship (iCAINE).
The MoU aims to accelerate research, technological advancements, and foster entrepreneurial growth in the field of Ayurveda.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Govind Sahay Shukla stated that the collaboration is expected to open significant new avenues for students, researchers, and faculty members, particularly in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship, reports Dainik Bhaskar.
He noted that such collaborations will play a vital role in strengthening Ayurveda within a contemporary framework, enabling it to adapt to modern challenges and opportunities. Additionally, he emphasized that the initiative is likely to create meaningful employment prospects and encourage the growth of startup ventures among young professionals, thereby contributing to both academic and economic development.

Speaking on the occasion, Director of the institute, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, described the collaboration as a major step toward enhancing the global recognition and acceptance of Ayurveda. He underlined that partnerships of this nature are essential for effectively bridging the gap between traditional knowledge systems and modern scientific methodologies. According to him, integrating evidence-based approaches with classical Ayurvedic principles can significantly elevate the credibility and applicability of the discipline on an international scale.
Mr. Sujeet Eranezath, CEO of the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, highlighted that the primary focus of the initiative will be on promoting Ayurveda-based innovations, facilitating technical support, and nurturing a robust startup ecosystem. He added that the collaboration aims to foster a culture of creativity, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving among students and researchers, enabling them to transform innovative ideas into viable solutions and enterprises.
Under the MoU, students and researchers will benefit from a wide range of opportunities, including mentorship programs, specialized training sessions, capacity-building initiatives, innovation-driven activities, idea presentation camps, and entrepreneurship workshops. Furthermore, they will have the chance to engage with industry experts and professionals, gaining valuable practical exposure and insights into real-world applications, which will enhance their skills and career readiness.
The event witnessed the presence of several distinguished dignitaries, including Mr Tarun Prajapati, Director of Cultivator Phytolab, Principal Prof. Chandan Singh, Dean Prof. Mahendra Kumar Sharma, Dean (Research) Prof. Devendra Chahar, and Media In-charge Prof. Dinesh Sharma, along with other faculty members and postgraduate students, all of whom expressed optimism about the outcomes of this collaborative initiative.
