NMC extends deadline for medical colleges to submit annual disclosure reports for MBBS seats renewal

New Delhi: Observing that several medical colleges failed to submit information due to various reasons, including technical issues, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has extended the last date for submission of the Annual Disclosure Report by medical colleges for the renewal of MBBS seats for the academic year 2026-27.

In a public notice issued on May 30, 2026, the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of NMC stated that the deadline has been extended from May 31, 2026, to June 10, 2026.

Earlier, through a notice on May 13, 2026, all medical colleges were directed to submit the Annual Declaration details of their institutions on the NMC portal as required under the Maintenance of Standards of Medical Education Regulations (MSMER), 2023.

However, the commission noted that several medical colleges have not yet completed the submission process due to various reasons, including technical issues. Many institutions had also requested additional time, citing difficulties in uploading the required information.

Taking these concerns into consideration, the competent authority of the NMC has decided to extend the last date for submission of the Annual Declaration from 31.05.2026 to 10.06.2026 as a final opportunity. The Commission clarified that no further extension shall be granted under any circumstances.

"All other details shall remain unchanged. For any technical information/query, institutions may contact the Helpdesk," mentioned the notice.

Referring to this, NMC has written to the Directors, Principals and Deans of all medical colleges and institutions under its ambit, informing them that the last date for submission of the Annual Declaration Report for renewal of MBBS seats for the academic year 2026-27 has been extended till June 10, 2026.

"Kind reference is invited to the Public Notice No. U-15021/1/2024-UGMEB dated 30th May, 2026 (copy enclosed) issued by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board (UGMEB) of National Medical Commission (NMC) on the above subject matter being self explanatory inter-alia clarifying on the related issues as to be taken note of by all stake holders. All the Medical Colleges/ Institutions are advised regarding extension of last date for submission of the Annual Declaration Report has been extended to 10.06.2026 and are requested to take note of the same for further necessary action," mentioned the letter issued by Dr Raghav Langer, NMC secretary.
