New Delhi: The Safdarjung Hospital and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), New Delhi have announced vacancies for the post of Junior Resident on an ad hoc basis in various departments.

Safdarjung Hospital was founded in 1942 during the Second World War as a Base Hospital for the allied forces. It was taken over by the Govt. of India in 1954 under the Ministry of Health. It has grown over the years into one of the largest, tertiary, level multi-disciplinary healthcare institutions in this part of the World. Based on the needs and developments in Medical Care, the hospital has been regularly upgrading its facilities from diagnostic and therapeutic aspects to all the specialties.

Instructions for Eligible Candidates?

Walk in interviews for the recruitment on Adhoc Basis are scheduled to be held on 27.03.2025 at 09:00 A.M. for candidates for the post of Junior Residents (Non-PG) MBBS. Interested and eligible candidates should report on 27.03.2025 at 09:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at OLD Lecture Theatre (Behind OPD Building), Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi-110029.

The following original documents are required at the time of joining, if selected: -

(I) Permanent Registration Certificate from Delhi Medical Council (Receipt will not be considered, original DMC required at the time of Walk-in-Interview)

(II) Internship Completion Certificate (on or after 01.01.2023)

(III) One passport size photograph

(IV) EWS Certificate or Caste Certificate or PWD (One Leg / One Arm / Both Orthopaedics) Certificate from government hospital (if any). (For EWS & OBC Candidates please submit certificate copy from appropriate authority, which is meant for the post under the Central Government of India, and Certified that the Candidate does not belong to Creamy Layer. Date of issue of Certificate should be after 01.04.2024.)

Candidates are also required to submit self-attested copies of above-mentioned documents with application format for the post of Junior Resident (Non-PG) MBBS at the time of (Walk-in- Interview) on 27.03.2025, Application format has been uploaded on Hospital Website.
