New Deli: Through a recent notice the Medical Council of India (MCI) has informed about the extension of deadline for medical colleges intending to start/increase seats for PG medical courses for the academic year 2020-21.
The extension comes upon the directions of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Medical Dialogues has recently reported that MCI is now moving to completely digital solutions which are soon going to replace to declaration forms that accompany every MCI inspection
In a recent letter to all the Deans of Medical Colleges, MCI Secretary, Dr RK Vats informed about the plan of the council to create a digital registry of medical college faculty which will replace the requirement for submission of the faculty declaration form.
This comes as strong move to ensure that a medical faculty is associated with only one single medical college, in a particular academic year.
