Here are the top health news for the day:
A doctor at a private hospital in the Lalpatti area in Supaul district was severely injured after being allegedly assaulted by over 12 attendants of a 15-year-old girl over a referral to another facility due to her critical health condition.
The assault took place when the doctor decided to refer the patient to a higher facility so that she could get better treatment. However, this angered the attendants who refused to listen to the doctor and allegedly assaulted him.
Govt Doon Medical College and Hospital is facing a controversy after the HoD of the Oncology Department and a junior doctor accused each other of assault.
This resulted in the disruption of the outpatient operations at the Oncology Department of the Medical College on Saturday. Consequently, a probe was ordered into the incident, TOI has reported.

Issuing notice to the Union Government, the Supreme Court has asked the Government to clarify whether Indian students who were pursuing medical education in Ukraine and had to return to the country before their final year due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict in 2022 had received any relief measures.
The top court bench comprising Justices Abhay Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan took note of the steps mentioned in the Union Government's compliance affidavit for medical students who returned to Ukraine and observed that the affidavit appeared to assist only final-year students.

In a recent case of cyber fraud, a group of scammers posing as Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officers placed a Bareilly-based doctor under 'digital arrest' for hours. Fortunately, the police intervened in time and rescued the doctor, thanks to a note he left behind that ultimately saved him from losing his life savings.
Although the doctor was initially reluctant to accept help from the police, the quick thinking of the officers led to his safe rescue from the clutches of the scammers. The victim, identified as Dr Najbul Hasan, runs a private polyclinic in the area.
