NMC Mulls Over Removal of Upper Age Cap in MBBS Entrance Exam
The National Medical Commission (NMC) is mulling over the possibilities of removing the upper age bar for appearing in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), the entrance examination for MBBS.
Recently, the members of the UG Medical Education Board of NMC have published their findings related to medical education in India in The National Medical Journal of India.

NEET 2021 Candidates allege discrepancy in OMR sheets, results: Supreme Court issues notice
Claiming that there is something wrong on the part of the National Testing Agency, which contributed to the rigging of OMR sheets after the publication of answer keys, 6 NEET candidates have recently approached the Supreme Court.
While considering the plea alleging widespread discrepancies in NTA's scoring process, the top court bench comprising of Justices DY Chandrachud and AS Bopanna has issued notice on the matter, which would now be heard on December 13, 2021.

Omicron does not escape RT-PCR and RAT, says govt
Stating that the new strain of Covid, Omicron doesn't escape RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen Testing, the Union Health Ministry urged the states to immediately increase the testing for early identification of the new variant on Tuesday.
The health ministry advised the states to increase their surveillance. It said, "It is imperative that intensive containment, active surveillance, increased coverage of vaccination, and Covid-appropriate behaviour be enforced in a very proactive measure to effectively manage this variant of concern."
