Govt doctor to face Rs 50,000 Salary Deduction on grounds of Medical Negligence: Child Rights Panel
Holding that the doctor was at lapse in conveying the seriousness of the case to the parent which resulted in the 11-year-old patient losing his scrotum, the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has recently passed an order directing the duty doctor of the Taluk Hospital in Vythiri to pay Rs 50,000 from her salary to the child.
The order was issued by the commission after they sought reports from the District Medical Officer (DMO) and District Child Protection Officer.

78 % increase in PG medical seats including DNB, CPS since 2014: Health Minister informs Parliament
Revealing the percentage of hike in PG medical seats being offered by institutions across the country, MoS Health has recently confirmed that there is a 78 percent increase since the year 2014 including those allotted for DNB and CPS courses.
The information to this effect comes from the data shared by the MoS Health Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar before the Parliament during question hour.

One in 10 junior doctors training to be cardiologists in the UK, say they have been bullied, reveal the results of a survey published online in the journal Heart.
Women and those who qualified in medicine outside the UK are most likely to report being subjected to this behaviour, the responses show.

Doctors cannot talk to media without Prior Permission: Kerala Govt
Kerala Health Department on Sunday issued a notice stating that medical officers and health workers need prior permission from the department to speak to media publicly.
In an order issued by Kerala Health Director V K Raju said that medical officers and health workers need to be cautious in sharing information with the media.

NBE releases schedule, eligibility criteria for Formative Assessment Test, FAT 2021
Through a recent notification, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) has released the conduct of the Formative Assessment Test of 2021, FAT 2021 academic session for or DNB and FNB trainees.
NBE conducts the Formative Assessment Test for DNB, FNB trainees on an annual basis. Appearance in minimum required numbers of Formative Assessment Tests is mandatory towards eligibility for appearing in DNB/DrNB/ FNB Final Examinations.
