Narayana Superspeciality Hospital launches Laryngectomee Club

The Laryngectomee club is an initiative of the Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah with the aim of helping the cancer survivors to find hope and give them a new path to live a normal and healthy life.
Kolkata: Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah officially announced the launch of their ‘Laryngectomee Club’ for the Laryngectomy cancer patients in the esteemed presence of Dr. Sourav Datta, Consultant Head and Neck Surgery of Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah, Dr. Harsh Dhar, Consultant Head and Neck Surgery of Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah, Laryngectomy Patients and film-maker duo Shiboprasad Mukhopadhyay and Nandita Roy.
The Laryngectomee club is an initiative of the Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah with the aim of helping the cancer survivors to find hope and give them a new path to live a normal and healthy life.
As part of the initiative, the cancer survivors will be treated through counselling process with other activities such as providing moral support to the survivors. One of the important motives of the club is to provide financial support to the underprivileged cancer survivors.
Moreover, they will also help other cancer sufferers along with their experts, specialized in the treatment of Laryngectomy patients. The main motive of the club is to provide support, care, treatment so that cancer survivors will find new ways to communicate and regain their ability to speak. The services can be availed by everyone on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sourav Datta, Consultant Head and Neck Surgery from Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah said, “The Laryngectomee club is a great initiative of Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah. This non-profit association is totally dedicated in the rehabilitation process of the Laryngectomy cancer survivors, where patients will get proper support and care to live a healthy life.”
Earlier, Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Howrah had organized a special screening of the Bengali Movie “Kontho” for Cancer Survivors and announced the launch of Laryngectomy Club at INOX, Metropolis.
