3rd year MBBS student of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Govt Medical College hangs self
Mandi: In an unfortunate incident, a third-year MBBS student of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Nerchowk, allegedly hanged himself in his hostel room. No suicide note has been recovered from the post and the reason behind him taking such a step is not known as of yet.
Speaking to PTI, the police officials informed, "A medical student at a government college in here allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room on Friday. A native of Rajasthan’s Jaipur, *** (22), was in the third semester of MBBS."
As soon as the other students got to know about the incident, they immediately brought him to the emergency ward of the medical college where he was declared dead, they said.

According to the police, the student’s body had been sent for an autopsy and no suicide note was found in the room, reports Tribune
The body will be handed over to the family members after postmortem, Mandi ASP Sagar Chand said.
The fellow students said Udaeynia was disturbed for the last three months and was not interacting with anyone.

Medical DIalogues recently reported that a final-year MBBS medico of Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College was found dead at her hostel. Speaking to PTI, police officials informed, "a 21-year-old woman medical student allegedly committed suicide at the hostel of the Bharat Ratna Late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College in Rajnandgaon city of Chhattisgarh on Thursday." "****, a final year of MBBS student hailing from Bikaner in Rajasthan, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room, said Navratan Kashyap, station house officer, Lalbag police station.
