Gujarat MDS Admissions 2026 registrations open till July 10, check details

Gujarat: The Admission Committee for Professional Post-Graduate Medical Education Courses (ACPPGMEC), Government of Gujarat, has invited online applications for admission to the first-year Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses for the 2026-27 academic session.

Eligible candidates who have qualified NEET MDS 2026 can apply for admission to Government, Management, and NRI quota seats in Government and self-financed dental colleges across the state.

As per the advertisement released by the DME Gujarat, the candidates can purchase the online PIN until 12:00 PM on July 10, 2026, while the registration window will remain open until 4:00 PM on July 10, 2026.

The committee has scheduled document verification and submission of photocopies at designated Help Centres from July 6, 2026 (10:00 AM) to July 11, 2026 (12:00 PM). Below is the detailed schedule-

Candidates must complete this step after taking a prior appointment. During the appointment booking process, applicants can choose the date, time, and Help Centre of their preference while printing the registration slip.

For registration, candidates are required to purchase an online PIN by paying Rs 3,000 as a non-refundable registration fee and Rs 25,000 as a refundable security deposit, amounting to a total of Rs 28,000.

The notification further states that Help Centres will function from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Saturdays, while remaining closed on Sundays and Government holidays.

Special instructions have also been issued for NRI candidates. Such applicants must submit a Demand Draft of Rs 25,000 (non-refundable) in favour of "ACPUGMEC", payable at Gandhinagar, towards the processing fee. The Demand Draft, along with document verification and submission of photocopies, must be completed only at the Office of ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.

Candidates have been advised that although the online application can be submitted through the official website of DME Gujarat, the registration process will be considered complete only after the applicant reports to the designated Help Centre with the required original documents and the registration slip.

The admission committee has also informed candidates that all future updates and information related to the admission process will be published only on the official website, and applicants should visit the portal regularly for the latest announcements.

DOCUMENTS

List of Original Documents to be Uploaded & Verified-

1 Final year attempt-wise BDS marksheets.

2 Copy of NEET-MDS Marksheet of current academic year.

3 Internship completion certificate on or before 31/05/2026.

4 Provisional Registration of State Dental Council OR Dental Council of India (In case of fresh candidates only who have just completed their internship)/Permanent Registration of State Dental Council OR Dental Council of India (In case of old pass-out candidates).

5 Document showing Date & Place of Birth & Indian Citizenship (School leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate--compulsory for all candidates & Birth Certificate/ Passport--If birth place not mentioned in School leaving certificate/Transfer Certificate).

6 For SEBC, ST and SC Category: Caste certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only.

7 For SEBC Category: Non-creamy layer certificate (Parishistha ‘4’ in Gujarati/English) issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only.

8 For EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) Category: EWS certificate issued by Competent Authorities of Gujarat State only.

9 For PwD Candidates: Disability Certificate issued by Competent Authority 10. Copy of Passport - if Citizenship is Dual/ Foreign.

11 12th Marksheet (For candidates who have done BDS outside Gujarat).

12 Domicile certificate of Gujarat state: For candidates who have done BDS outside Gujarat (only if birthplace is outside Gujarat).

PREPARATION AND PUBLICATION OF MERIT LIST- After the registration process, ACPPGMEC will prepare and declare the merit list of all eligible candidates. Candidate needs to verify merit number and category as mentioned in the registration details.

ONLINE CHOICE FILLING & ALLOTMENT OF ADMISSION

1 After merit declaration, choice filling will be initiated online for each round.

2 After the choice filling period is over, the ACPPGMEC will process the allotment of seats and declare the status of allotment on the website. The candidates can view their status of allotment by login to their own User ID.

PAYMENT OF TUITION FEES- The candidate has to pay the requisite amount of tuition fees by cash/DD at any of designated Axis Bank’s branches or through online payment within the time limit specified by the ACPPGMEC.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR NRI CATEGORY STUDENTS

1 PIN can be purchased online from the website by paying Rs. 3000/-(non-refundable) + Rs.25,000/- (Refundable Security Deposit) = total Rs.28,000/-.

2 The candidate himself/herself can do online registration by visiting the website of the admission committee.

3 The candidate applying for NRI Quota must confirm registration by document verification and submission only at the Office of ACPUGMEC/ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.

4 The candidate has to take prior appointment for the Document Verification and Submission of Xerox copies of Documents at Help Centre. Candidate, himself/herself, can select the Date for Document Verification at the time of printing the Registration Slip.

5 After online application, they have to submit a Demand draft of Rs. 25,000/- in favor of “ACPUGMEC” payable at Gandhinagar as a process fee at the Office of ACPUGMEC/ACPPGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar only.
