Gujarat MDS admissions 2026: Round 3 registration opens, check key dates, guidelines

Gujarat: The Admission Committee for Professional Post-Graduate Medical Educational Courses, Gujarat, has announced the Round 3 online registration schedule for the Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) admissions for the 2026-27 academic year, along with a window for candidates seeking cancellation of admissions confirmed in the first or second round.
The process is being conducted for Government, Management and NRI quota seats in MDS courses at government and self-financed dental colleges in Gujarat.
As per the advertisement issued by the DME Gujarat in this regard, candidates who have qualified NEET-PG (MDS) 2026 and meet the eligibility requirements prescribed under the respective council and Gujarat admission rules can participate, subject to the Round 3 eligibility conditions.
Only those students who have qualified as per the NEET-PG (MDS)-2026 eligibility criteria, who possess the qualifications required under the respective council's and Gujarat state's admission rules, and who have "not" registered in Round 1 or Round 2, OR who did "not" confirm admission after seat allotment in Round 2 (having exited with forfeiture of the refundable security deposit) — only such students are eligible for the following schedule for online registration and verification of certificates for Round 3, as well as for cancelling admissions already confirmed at the Help Center in Round 1/Round 2
GUJARAT MDS ROUND 3 SCHEDULE
S.NO | PROCESS | FROM | UPTO |
1 | Cancellation of admission at Help Centre | October 1, 2026 | October 3, 2026, 12 noon |

For Round 3 registration, candidates need to purchase an online PIN by paying Rs 28,000. This comprises a non-refundable amount of Rs 3,000 and a refundable security deposit of Rs 25,000.
Candidates who had already purchased the PIN by paying Rs 28,000 in Round 1 or Round 2, but did not complete online registration, do not have to purchase the PIN again.
Similarly, those who registered online earlier but did not complete application verification and submission of documents at the Help Centre need not buy another PIN. They only have to complete verification and submit the required photocopies at the Help Centre.
Candidates have to take a prior appointment for application verification and submission of copies of certificates at the Help Centre. While printing the registration receipt, candidates can select their preferred date, time and Help Centre for verification.
Importantly, online registration alone will not complete the process. Candidates are required to personally visit the Help Centre with the necessary certificates and registration slip to complete their registration.
Help Centres generally operate from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm from Monday to Friday and 10:00 am to 12 noon on Saturday, while remaining closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Candidates who have already confirmed admission during Round 1 or Round 2 and wish to cancel it have been given time from October 1 until 12 noon on October 3, 2026, to complete the cancellation process at the Help Centre.
The Admission Committee has advised candidates to regularly check the Gujarat medical admission portal for further instructions and updated information regarding the admission process.
